HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL MY FRIENDS!!

Here is a picture of the Halloween Cards I made with my aunt Lori. We had a blast making them. We used the Cuttlebug to emboss the spider web. I purchased the spider punch at Archivers in Des Moines. It is a Martha Stewart punch. It works very well. The words I stamped on the front I got for a great bargain at Memory Bound in Ankeny for $1 for 8 stamps. They aren't the highest quality of stamps, but they definitely worked for what I needed them for to add the final touch to my cards. I mailed them out on Monday. I think most people have received them.

Long time, no post.....

Hello, Everyone!

I've been absent for a few weeks. My life--like everyone else's lives--has been very hectic with no time for stuff like this. I just want to post a few pictures of some things I've been making lately.

This is a card I made for a friend at work. Her birthday was in October. I purchased this flower paper in Kalona, IA at a little shop downtown. I just fell in love with it and had to have it. I wish now that I would have bought more than one sheet.

This is a desk top calendar that I had to try. I saw a version of it on line and then I saw one made at Memory Bound Scrapbooking store in Ankeny. I think it turned out cute.

These are my little Frankenstein candy bar wrappers. You put a Hershey bar inside I made these for all the gals in my office for Halloween. I think they enjoyed them. I know I enjoyed making them. I got this idea off the Split Coast Scrapbooking website.

These cards are so much fun to make. The brown polka dot one I made for a really good friend and the red one I was hired to make for a gal at work to give to a friend. Both said "Glad we are Bosom Buddies" inside.

This card went to my best friend in Tennessee. I loved how this one turned out. I used my Cuttlebug to embose the white paper that I cut out for the bra. Her card also said "Glad We Are Bosom Buddies". I love dressing these cards. AND I love my CUTTLEBUG!

Halloween fun

This is a halloween tic tac holder. I think it turned out cute, but I'd make some changes. I think I might make these for my son's youth group, but use halloween paper instead of the orange back ground. I might even use my new spider punch instead of creating my own spider.

I bought a spider punch yesterday also. I have an embossing plate to make a spider web and it needed a spider. Here is the card I came up with last night. I think I need to add ribbon to the bottom of the card. I used my cutter bug to make "fake" stitches, but I think it needs something more.

Fall and Bikini card

I played around with a new punch I got yesterday. It was on the clearance rack for $2 at The Archivers Photo Memory Store in Des Moines by Jordan Creek Mall. It is meant to be used as a buckle type punch out that you would run ribbon through, but as I was punching it out of some orange scrap paper I thought that they looked like little pumpkins. This is the card I came up with. I glued 3 pumpkins onto the paper and then I attached 3 more on top so it is a 3-d look. It is hard to tell in this photo, but the pumpkins are up off the page. I used my little $1 alphabet stamps I got at Memory Bound Scrapbooking in Ankeny last Friday.

I thought this card was really cute ever since I saw it on Emily's blog. I didn't know if I'd ever have anyone to send this card to, but I found someone. Anyway, here is my bikini card. I think it turned out cute!
